How is the training going?

The journey to a hotel reception usually leads to a three-year, dual-training course, which is recognized throughout Germany, to the hotel specialist, with which all departments of the hotel are passed.

Thereby theory and practice alternate: As a rule, the trainee visits the vocational school one or two days per week or completes it in block lessons. The rest of the time he / she is in the hotel.

During the period of training, the young person is accompanied by an employee, the so-called "training supervisor", who is at his side in all school and company questions.

Diverse career opportunities

After completing their training, hotel professionals have various career paths: Hotel professionals can work in all departments of a hotel: floor, reception, reservation, sales, restaurant, banquet or administration. They serve drinks, serve in restaurants, prepare rooms or prepare events.

They are also used in administration. There they take care of, for example, bookkeeping, warehousing or human resources. Finally, they also have the opportunity to become a department head, hotel director or independent entrepreneur in a hospitality business.

In addition to the charming landscape and the opportunity to get to know different hotels of the company, the Travel Charme Ostseehotel Kühlungsborn also offers its employees other advantages: low-priced apartments, regular training and further education, payment above the tariff and performance-based bonus scheme.

Parking spaces, staff restaurant, work clothing with cleaning service are free of charge, and staff can also take advantage of reduced-price massage and cosmetic treatments in the spa.

What requirements should trainees have?

In order to begin a corresponding training, the following prerequisites should be met: secondary school leaving certificate, better middle school leaving certificate or high school diploma, Team- and communication skills, foreign language skills are an advantage, organizational and sales skills as well as good manners and a pleasant appearance.
