I am not valuable? Nonsense!

Overview

This often makes life difficult for us, because we close ourselves off from the possibility of making other, perhaps much more positive experiences.

For example, an employee who believes that she must be paid a salary increase due to her performance and diligence. Unfortunately, she is waiting for her to offer her this increase by herself, so that her performance is seen and thus honored.

They send this message

Overview

Since she carries the belief "I am not valuable" in her, she does not come up with the idea to propose or demand a salary increase.

Her supervisor, however, has the message that she is satisfied with her salary and therefore there is no need for action. The logical consequence of this is that she does not get a salary increase and her belief "I'm not valuable" is confirmed.

Please check your faith

Overview

The problem of the faith listed here is due to the limiting belief that prevents the clerk from meeting her wishes and goals. It shows how people often act according to the old beliefs that arose in their childhood and adolescence.

Unfortunately, these beliefs are no longer consciously checked in adulthood, but remain anchored in the subconscious of the people and thus determine their actions, even if these beliefs are no longer true.

What we think must be true

Overview

When we believe something, we behave as if what we think is true. This behavior leads to corresponding reactions in our fellow human beings.

We then see their reactions through the spectacles of our doctrine of faith, and above all perceive this as meaningful, which again confirms the doctrine of faith. Our thought pattern acts as a filter of our perception, which confirms events in the sense of what we believe.

Hand on heart, how often do you think: "I can never do that anyway"? Unfortunately, it is exactly this belief that makes that happen. Result: They can not do it, but they are stuck in the quagmire of their negative beliefs.

Too little use

Overview

Hand on heart, how often do you think: "I can never do that anyway"? Unfortunately, it is exactly this belief that makes that happen. Result: They can not do it, but they are stuck in the quagmire of their negative beliefs.

There is a plausible reason for this: followers of the beliefs, "I'll never do that anyway," will be able to achieve their goals with little inner strength and confidence. Even smaller obstacles or setbacks will see them as confirmation of their beliefs. Eventually, they will completely give up, which in turn confirms their thought pattern.

6 Typical beliefs

Overview

Restraining beliefs prevent us from reaching our desires and goals. Such as:

  1. I am only loved when I bring performance.
  2. I never find a partner that suits me.
  3. Life is hard.
  4. All beginnings are difficult.
  5. I can not do it.
  6. I am not worth it.

How do beliefs arise?

Overview

But how do such beliefs actually arise? Most of the convictions in our childhood when we take the messages from important reference persons. The most important roles are played by the parents, but also grandparents, teachers, siblings or other people who are important to us such as friends, sports trainers, music teachers, etc.

But even in the adult age beliefs can be formed. They arise from the experiences of life and often lead us to experience certain situations again and again.

The experience makes it

Overview

For example the experience "Only if I help others I will be loved" or "If I do exactly what my partner says, then she loves me." Another reason for forming beliefs is a unique experience with a strong emotional one expression.

An example would be that a family member dies in a car accident. As a result, the belief "All cars are dangerous, I will never drive" is formed.

The danger of thinking loops

Overview

Finally, beliefs arise through a permanent repetition of one and the same thought.
