Around the clock
Full time, flexibility and anytime use are important keywords when we read about today's world of work. The modern means of communication make us freer, but also demand that we are still mobile in the car or at the hairdresser, on weekends and when picking up the children.
Many work from home - to be even more exposed to the pressure of housework, childcare and constant accessibility. Anyone who also volunteers, meets in networks and in political bodies and debates late on applications, has little time for thought and soon comes to the point where women no longer know.
The Angelina Jolie Trap
Is not the media also to blame? Do they produce with their image of the perfect woman who brings the children with jeans, decorates in small black every event that is mobile, active, beautiful and, above all, young, only the pressure that many women suffer?
What are the influencing factors for the compulsion to perfectionism and, above all, how can we develop strategies together in order to get out of this trap?
to the event
The event runs as part of the series of events "fine work" of the Kommunalpolitischen Forum eV on women's issues. Today there is the third event - after the debate on "Equal pay" in June 2010 and the discussion on "Glass ceiling" in October 2010.
The aim is to discuss together in a relaxed circle those issues that play a role for women in political responsibility - in a way that also addresses those women who do not explicitly take feminist positions, but in their everyday life as a city planner or BVV - Ordinary come into contact with it.
