The human as a product?
The job market is in principle a market like any other. A buyer decides for a product, which he is convinced at the time of the purchase decision that it offers a benefit or an advantage.
The main difference, however, is that the product is a person who wants to feel at home with his "buyer" and develop. First of all, the applicant should know as much as possible about his or her strengths, weaknesses, wishes and future expectations. Here a conversation with acquaintances or external reviewers is quite helpful (although sometimes it can be painful).
Set not for functions, but for the Company
They want a place that fits as closely as possible to them. There are only a few companies, For example, GORE, which does not hire the employees for a function, but for the company and, after a lead time through various departments, leaves the employee the choice of his workplace.
For all professionals who believe that only specialists can perform their tasks perfectly perfectly, the company actually makes profits!
Superhuman requirements for job advertisements
Now many applicants are unsettled by the often superhuman-looking requirements in job advertisements. As "sake of safety" the ideal candidate with three diplomas and ten-year industry experience with a maximum age of 30 years is sought.
Job advertisements become even more exciting and creative when they are texted by an advertising agency rather than by the HR department. There should even be companies that advertise for purely publicity reasons - or invite applicants to gather information about the competition.
The seriousness of the employer
How can the applicant convince himself of the seriousness or quality of his "buyer"? Since the Internet offers a lot of information with its diverse research options, even in newspaper databases.
Genuine information is also obtained from the employees of the company - put yourself close to the regulars' table of company employees.
They offer a unique product!
Ask your company's customers about their experiences with your potential employer. Go to your future workplace at your presentation appointment, talk to your future colleagues.
Above all, they show a natural self-confidence, because you offer a unique product, right?
