{Study} Job exchanges for applicants and companies: The Top Job Seekers 2016

Which are the best job boards from the applicants point of view? And in which job portals should Company Post your job ads so they can be found by the right applicants? A recent user survey helps.

jobportal_gattungen-1

Find jobs and post jobs - but where?

If applicants go for job searches, this can be a rather elaborate undertaking. Because the job market market is very confusing with 1200 job portals, since job-seekers can get bogged down. More serious is that they could miss interesting career chances.

Companies, on the other hand, should know where it is worth posting job advertisements so that they can find the best candidates for their company. Because finding the right skilled workers will be more and more important on the market in the future.

To the user survey

So what helps both groups: They should know the best job boards. The current survey at Jobbörsen-Kompass.de, a user initiative of the HR specialist portal Crosswater job guide, offers a solution to this problem.

The Jobbörsen-Kompass is a valuation portal for online job exchanges on the Internet. It is the declared goal of the portal to provide more transparency in a sometimes difficult to manage market.

For this survey since April 2016 more than 15.000 detailed evaluations of job searchers have been collected and evaluated. It was determined how applicants are satisfied with the individual job exchanges.

The methodology

Users can select from all 1.200 job boards active on the job market before they conduct an assessment. In addition, they are maximally transparent, since they can be viewed completely online by both staff and job seekers.

In order to achieve a statistically valid evaluation, the makers of the job-stock compass have developed a unique analysis scheme. In this, both the ratings of the candidates, broken down into the categories satisfaction, search quality and recommendation rate, as well as their relative number as well as the monthly range of the individual job portals are considered and weighted.

Where Germany is looking for Jobs

The results in brief: From the candidate's point of view, StepStone, followed by XING and Indeed, leads the generalist job boards. Staufenbiel leads the ranking among specialist providers ahead of ABSOLVENTA and UNICUM. There are also smaller job exchanges such as Jobble or job flash.

In the case of the job search machines, Kimeta is the best starting point for a successful job search. The best newcomer in the recruiting scene is the specialist job exchange foodjobs, which is aimed at the labor market in the food industry.

Specialist job exchanges Generalists: Who meets the nerve of the candidates?

The unmistakable trend in job hunting, meanwhile, is strongly related to the use of specialist portals. This results in a special look at the satisfaction scale of the individual job market types. As a result, specialists on a scale ranging from 7 (very good) to 1 (not good at all) achieve 4,76, the highest satisfaction rate.

The average satisfaction with 4,37 was among the generalist job exchanges, which include suppliers such as StepStone, Indeed or Monster. Although job search engines publish a significantly higher number of jobs, they follow the ranking only on 3 with a value of 4,21. Comparatively weak in the favor of the candidates, meanwhile, social media portals (3,78) cut off.
