From the application practice: please do not outsource applications!
Anyone who reads the requirements catalogs, who include HR specialists in most job advertisements, is quick to give their own image to the company Casting to be a little prettier. That can be a serious mistake. It is better to be yourself, as the following real examples show.
An applicant has just sent an application that is too nice, one that automatically makes HR think “WOW, that's exactly what I was looking for”. Unfortunately, in the interview, the applicant does not keep what his application promises, he is, contrary to what his image suggests, quiet and cautious. He had the application created by a copywriter and a designer. Result: 15 interviews without an offer.
Bend to catch any straw
ME is an extreme example of how some applicants have to bend. Ghostwriters and designers will be the fewest. Instead, this is often much more subtle:
I have just come across a case where someone is picking up a job search for every straw. Turning in this direction, sometimes in that direction, do not know exactly which direction you really want to take.
Keep each door open
To be self-talking, one wants to spoil oneself with all the doors. However, such a candidate does not have a clear opinion and has no fixed position on many things.
In this way, potential employers do not know at all how they should classify the candidate who is slightly undecided and what he stands for. Let alone that the candidate does not know in this way, for which goal he wants and is now to engage.
If you are wrong, you will not find a dream job!
A big shortcoming, in a job market, where you have to score less and less with average and more and more with excellent performances - and the latter are especially possible when the job is too.
Or, in other words, whoever is wrong, finds his dream job, that is, the activity that really suits him, by no means. Whoever is honest and authentic, perhaps falls at the beginning through so many rasters. In the long run, however, he will find something that really fits him.
More courage to please yourself!
I just think about it Regine Heidorn, who told me in an interview that her customers appreciate exactly this honesty about her: Because they always know where they stand. And because that's how trust is created. Because every employment relationship is also a relationship of trust. Those who pretend to undermine this trust.
