Why gestures and facial expressions are important
Why it is like that? The true attitude manifests itself in gestures and facial expressions. Most of us have a good intuition radar for right and wrong.
Corresponding signals can only be decrypted if one is physically close. Digital solutions are also available. Videoconferencing already exists.
From video conferencing to hologram
Membrane walls that work like touchscreens and swipe their way to the Internet are on the rise.
And soon we will be able to show our swarm members as 3D telepresence or hologram in life size.
3 tips like Company Swarm intelligence can use
We do not have to wait. Executives can already create a number of prerequisites so that swarming can be developed rapidly. These three are:
- Flow of information: Competence networking means that every swarm member has all the necessary information at all times. At the same time, it must be ensured that one does not waste time with unnecessary information garbage.
- Innovation Pressure: For this purpose, instruments must be available, with the help of which the useful ideas of individual swarm members are taken up, secured and quickly used if necessary.
- Behavior vote: The swarming diversity of opinions can be channeled in such a way that one can agree unanimously on an unified approach. As a rule, hierarchy disrupts the swarm instead of serving it.
Decision monopolies are a problem
However, in many cases, the basis for swarm intelligence must in most cases be laid at all. Institutionalized information cascades and carefully maintained decision-making monopolies, which are mainly used for the maintenance, are only a hindrance.
And, of course, the employees have to be empowered, because the associated responsibility for the results can create anxiety. So it takes courage, some time and patience. At the push of a button something does not work.
The Internet as the best business model ever
In order to achieve good progress, extensive degrees of freedom, short decision-making processes, a high degree of flexibility and a collaborative network are necessary. Linear structures are not suitable for this purpose. Because they point only in one direction, they block the view of other, possibly better ways to the goal.
If, as now, the complexity increases, self-organizing structures are much more suitable. The best example of this is the most successful business model ever, the mother of digitization: the Internet.
The networking of knowledge
On the Internet, people network to swarms, which sometimes pull in one direction and then in the other direction, always in search of something new, different, better. But how does the swarm know which way to go? It's not just about networking data, it's also about networking knowledge. How it works?
In the social web, this is a self-controlling process, which is organized through platforms, portals and social networks. Many should have something of it, not a few everything.
Crowdfunding as an example
Crowdfunding, sometimes called swarm financing, is an interesting example of this. This refers to the financing of eligible projects by a large number of lenders with small resources via platforms such as Startnext, Kickstarter and Co.
Such forms of sharing are facilitated by web-based technologies or made possible at all.
Use it or lose it
Even the human brain works without a boss. Its cerebral interconnections run through nodes, such as 20 in number. So there can be more than one way to good results - and the capacity to learn and deliver quality output is almost inexhaustible.
But what is not used goes wild. “Use it or lose it” is the principle. It is the same with knowledge. As you know, when you share it, it multiplies. And it evaporates when you hoard it.
