eCommerce on the advance
We have a great responsibility as to how such an instrument affects society and the development of trade.
The history of the online trade finds its origin in the 1960er years, with the establishment of ArpanetSo with the introduction of digital communication channels. For commercial use, however, the World Wide Web was only opened in the year 1995 and thus sets the starting signal for trading on the Internet. Well-known onlineCompany and search engines rode on a huge wave of success through the network, a stock market hype was the result.
In the year 2000, the inevitable happened: the stock market can not always go uphill, and the higher the rise, the deeper the case. The so-called Dotcom bubble (a term coined by media for burst speculation) burst. About every fifth company did not survive this stock market crash and the market had to be repositioned.
eCommerce as an integral part of society
Meanwhile, hardly anyone speaks of that crisis, and eCommerce has become an integral part of today's society - I dare even say, it is almost impossible to imagine. 2008 then joined another online presence company: Zalando was founded. Based in Berlin and around 8.300 employees (as of July 2015) Zalando is a solid representative in the mail order business and was able to record 2,2 billion euro turnover last year.
Here the end consumer in the fashion sector can find everything the shopping heart desires: men's fashion, women's fashion, shoes, accessories and much more. Simply browse online or click through the pages on the basis of predetermined categories, select a product and pay conveniently and easily. Hereby all common classical as well as on-line means of payment are accepted.
How does our society tick?
We should perhaps first answer the question: How is our society today? Everything must go incredibly fast and be as uncomplicated as possible. We hardly have time to spend hours in shopping centers and to look for the right clothes. Nevertheless, we want to be as up-to-date as possible, hip, correspond to the current fashion.
“Image is everything,” it says for many, and spending money is also simply fun. If we take the lack of time and combine it with extraordinary convenience, there is inevitably a reluctance to plunge into the hordes of shopping enthusiasts. If we are not completely satisfied with a product afterwards, we still have the opportunity to exchange it.
Why shop online?
However, we would have to find time again and above all a lot of desire to take the road to the cash register. During the week, a mall is still bearable, not too crowded. However, if we are forced to go to the shops on weekends, the joy will go by the mere thought of it.
Then it would rather be comfortable from home, with free return shipping within up to 100 days. To bring such a package at the post office is worth the effort. If this way too much of the good is, you can also access the online franking and have the parcel picked up directly at the doorstep. Uncomplicated, simpler and, above all, more convenient, it really does not work.

The selection is bigger
Another advantage of online trading is the quantitative selection. We do not have to run into a dozen stores to buy all of what we need to satisfy our buying noise. Online offers us all at a glance in unbeatable selection, and under it does not necessarily necessarily the quality suffer.
Well-known brands such as Nike, Adidas, Asics and Co. are represented in numerous online mail-order houses. Moreover, the payment modalities are extensive and enjoy increasing security. Whether we opt for a classic transfer or choose an online financial service provider, such as PayPal, is up to us.
