Interface between humans and technology
In the health care sector, Jobs is also at the interface between people and technology in areas such as data analysts and highly specialized health care providers.
Further training in health management is an important building block to keep pace with the rapid development of digital technology. At the scientific training company PFH Professional School on Management and Technology it has long been recognized. There is to read:
"Health management is creating or maintaining conditions under which a particular group of people becomes or stays healthy. This group can be the workforce of a company or the inhabitants of a region. In both cases, health management is in a business context, but from different perspectives. "
More than nursing robots: support in nursing day through digitization
Not only in Company The question arises as to how employees can best come to terms with digitization, stay healthy themselves and make sense of customer contact. Because automation and digitization also means replacing people. In nursing, it is a sensitive topic, because personal contact is essential for the health of patients and people in need of care.
Digitization in everyday nursing can also mean a lot of support. The currently prevailing shortage of skilled workers, which is not easy to catch up overnight, is mitigated by digital helpers. Our society is aging and new technologies are an opportunity. On the one hand, those in need of care are getting older and older, on the other hand, the age of nurses is also increasing. This reduces the physical capacity. Daily tasks, such as lifting people, are becoming increasingly difficult. Intelligently designed technology is the one true support. She takes physically heavy tasks off and creates more time for personal contact.
Berufsbild Pflege: Where is the industry and what is to be expected?
The problem, however, is that, with all technology, humanity could be left behind. Because if the time spent is used elsewhere by the nursing staff and the dependent is still alone, this leads to an isolation. It also gives the impression that new technologies could replace a person in large parts. An undesirable de-professionalization could be the result.
Computer-based systems in the field of inpatient care represent a central component. Digitization is a true blessing in an intensive care unit. It saves lives. In domestic care, digital products are on the brink between everyday consumer products and medical and nursing orientated aids. The example of the tablet explains this:
A bedridden patient is given the opportunity to articulate and distract himself by using a tablet. He can play, read the newspaper, do memorial training exercises, or watch the latest news. So he is up to date, although he is tied to the bed and he can take part in the general happenings. The tablet is also suitable for nurses in home care to create and communicate documentation.
A further development in occupational care could be that an assistance system, also called "telenursing", takes over individual tasks to increase the quality of life of the patient. That can for example
- Memory systems for taking tablets or
- the chat with a nurse to clarify the necessary medicines or
- an app that is used for the organization of upcoming doctor visits.
The opportunities are manifold. They change the everyday life of relatives, patients and nursing staff. And they require continuous training on current topics. Especially with regard to digitalization, the training is enormously important and an all-time star, who will probably never lose its radiance. On the basis of a Studies in the field of health and care is a regular training also recommended. For example, young graduates are fit for the industry right from the beginning and, with their knowledge, help to combine digitization with the factor of humanity.
People in rural areas are particularly benefiting from digitization
In rural areas where there is little infrastructure, buses are rare, hospitals and doctors are dozens of kilometers away, and outpatient care services only accept commuter surcharges, digitization is particularly helpful for those affected. One example is the activity monitoring with intelligent emergency call. The principle of operation is as follows:
In contrast to standard emergency call systems, which must be triggered actively by pressing a button, the intelligent emergency call detects an emergency situation. In conjunction with motion and contact sensors as well as intelligent building technology, the system recognizes when the behavior of the person concerned deviates from the usual behavior. The settings can be individual. A movement sensor at the front door makes it possible to determine whether the activity behavior decreases. Sensors on the refrigerator register altered nutritional behavior.
The technology has not yet matured, and smart young minds are in urgent need of it. A good reason for young people to deal professionally with digitization in nursing care, because this professional field offers enormous growth potential and thus also exciting career prospects.
