Statistics on the acceptance of further training?

Unfortunately, there are no statistics on the acceptance and success of further training on the labor market in Germany. This also certainly depends on the breadth and complexity of the offer.

It is also not clear from the statistics which occupations are pursued afterwards and whether they have anything to do with further education at all.

Younger people have better chances

However, the statistics clearly show a trend: younger graduates of advanced training and better qualified employees, such as those who have completed a vocational qualification, have better chances of finding a job after a further education. Another possibility: ask directly from the educational institutions where you would like to continue your education, for information on how good the chances are for finding the hoped-for job or position after the training. In any case, you should take a closer look at the training provider personally.

Often, information is missing

Information on the recognition of continuing education is also given by the respective professional associations, depending on the sector. Training institutions often also provide internal statistics on the success of their graduates:

How many graduates find a job afterwards? What is the diarrhea rate? And is there a questioning of the participants how satisfied they were with the course? Ask for specific information about whether or not you are allowed to view such information (there may be data protection issues).

Training must be practical

In VET, it is also important that the training is practical: if the training includes internships and project work, or even dual in the workplace, in addition to the practical parts, this improves the chances of having a job afterwards, perhaps even in the corresponding one To obtain a company.
