Especially in recent years, an increase in female Bosstypen is observed. Even these women show a clear dominance behavior, they also jostle in a figurative sense like others and are characterized by a solid presence.

Vogue boss Anna Wintour

Overview

If such an appearance of a woman had previously not been tolerated, or at least rather negatively rated, it is gradually gaining acceptance today. An example of a possible female Bosnian type is the editor-in-chief of the US Vogue, Anna Wintour, one of the most influential women in the fashion industry.

Wintour is famous and notorious for her harsh handling of her staff and shows hardly any expressions of emotion, which was portrayed in the Hollywood movie The Devil Wearing Prada.

Determined and full of harshness

Generally, and regardless of the gender of the person, Bos types in their department require a clear subordination. A rebellion or uprising against a Bosstypen quickly becomes uncomfortable.

These people can be very determined and tough when someone dares to question their leadership. Should someone outsiders put the power issue at risk and endanger them, Bosotypes are well able to face the threat by exposing, defeating, or simply attacking the attacker. Because attacks on their position are something they do not like.

Fighting is part of the business

Overview

Bos types have an affinity for domination and to prevail. In this context, they like the fighting spirit that belongs on the way to the position of a real boss. They can therefore take something in power struggles.

If we are ourselves in an argument with such an embossed person, we should never retreat - that is what they despise and then mercilessly attack us.

Just do not show any weakness

Overview

What they like are people who are worthy opponents. You can certainly acknowledge it when the other was able to prevail in the context of a strike. They react with it Respect for a good fight - but also with the statement that they will keep the upper hand even the next time.

On the one hand, they can be fair, on the other hand they can be merciless. However, if you learn to understand the typical rituals and accept that you are being shaken by a type of Bosnian, you can actually get along well with them.

Putin and you

Overview

Let's return to the example of Vladimir Putin. This shows how important knowledge about personality styles can be for political dealings. A Putin respects strength, but no weakness. To meet him in negotiations in a soft way would certainly be the wrong way.

He will rather respect negotiators who are self-confident. This does not mean that it always has to amount to a power struggle, but any negotiation should be tackled from a position of strength - without questioning Putin's claim to power, because that would lead to great problems and a merciless reaction. At the same time, it is important to keep in mind that the Bos type, unlike a narcissist, is not offensive.

The difference to the narcissist

Nor is the Bos type necessarily dependent on the admiration of others. This shows once again how similar personality styles can look at first glance, how different they are after all, and how much nuances they have in dealing with them. Narcissists, psychopaths and the Bos type can be quickly confused with a rough look.

The details, however, show the big differences. For a narcissist, care should be taken not to be injured or hurt. Compared to the Bosstyp no weakness may be shown, it is a certain dominance in your own appearance advisable.

From the Bos type to the destructive sadist

Overview

However, when the personality style of the Bosstype becomes more extreme, it looks quite different again - because then it goes in a sadistic and destructive direction. Sadistic personalities like to humiliate others. If the normal Bos type sometimes chooses an ironic tip against others in the conversation, it can come to a sadist to arbitrary humiliation, because that is exactly the need for dominance and the keeping small of the other satisfied.

It can be observed again and again that just such sadistic people get into management positions, which can be very uncomfortable and threatening for the employees. Ultimately, working under such a supervisor can even lead to health problems.
