The upswing of Saint-Tropez
Saint-Tropez is located on the Côte d'Azur, at the eastern foot of the Massif des Maures, on the north bank of a peninsula. The then Fischerdorf moved towards the end of the 19. Century artists such as Paul Signac, Henri Matisse and Pierre Bonnard, whose works are exhibited today in the Musée de l'Annonciade, next to the port.
The upswing of Saint-Tropez 'began in the 1950 years, when the place developed into a meeting place for artists and the high society. Saint-Tropez is famous for its large yacht harbor and the Baie de Pampelonne, the largest sand beach in the Côte d'Azur, but mainly located on the territory of the neighboring municipality of Ramatuelle.
Brigitte Bardot, Gunther Sachs and Louis de Funès
Many prominent Europeans spend their holidays in Saint-Tropez, including Tahiti Plage, Club 55, Nikki Beach and Aqua Club, once again part of Ramatuelle. This shows the advantage of an exclusive location like Saint-Tropez: the staff is theoretically also used to crazy wishes - at least this is the claim of the hotel. The service, however, depends in part on this promise a little behind.
The hotel also has a gym and Spa and also organizes all sorts of excursions: There is a shuttle service to the beach where surfing, kiting and similar water sports are possible. In addition, cycling, participation in the olive harvest, sailing, horse riding and golfing are possible. Saint Tropez is located 90 minutes from Nice International Airport. The hotel offers transfer by helicopter or speed boat. Arriving by train is only possible up to Saint-Raphaël with TGV station, which is located in 30 KM.
