Pleasant and exquisite instruction
Norbert Franck explains to his readers what you can do to make your communication successful. This does not mean that you “win” in all situations, but rather find appropriate ways to express feelings, suggestions, opinions and demands. In alphabetical order you will find lots of good advice here!
Already the first sentences of the book are gripping and enjoyable. You draw the reader right into the subject. Not least because of three very cleverly chosen examples, which so surely every reader has already experienced in his professional or private everyday life.
No patent recipes
From the right argument to the CastingFrom talking to feelings to listening - the book's explanations are arranged like in a dictionary. But it's not just the brilliance of the author that makes the book so special.
It is honesty and directness. Franck does not carelessly promise any “magic formula”. It shows a way how successful communication can work. Explains the mechanisms behind rhetorical figures and points out pitfalls.
The main work lies with the reader
But the reader has yet to do the main work himself. For the successful way he supplies handicraft and many examples. Occasionally one would have wanted more, for example in the section on applications. This, however, does not in any way obscure the more than positive impression left by the book.
Conclusion: Brilliantly written with an appropriate pinch theory and many practical examples, Norbert Franck shows how communication succeeds.
