What the company thinks about introverts
No introverted kid or kid should think that something is wrong with him or her just because he / she does not like or does not like certain socially desirable things. A typical quote that introverts often encounter:

The sentences may seem like a stupid caricature and yet you do not hear them in the industrial world so seldom.
What annoys me: The discrimination of introverts
This annoys me. It annoys me so much that 2013 has published a book on this subject by me: "Convincingly quiet. How silent people use their strengths effectively. "
As soon as such a book is on the market, readers and interested people will start to ask questions and to discuss the usefulness of the discussion. I would like to go into this text and share the answers to some questions with you.
Introversion - a quiet revolution?
For some years now, good publications on this subject have been making a fuss. There are endless texts in blogs, in forums and in social media. This seems to be a form that appeals to quiet people!
There is obviously a quiet revolution taking place: soft people find a way to express themselves and disperse. All this is done with the aim of living his life in accordance with his predilection for introversion. Then quiet people act authentically and then they are unbeatable in many areas.
The special skills of introverts
For example, silent people are often impressive speakers and presenters. The difficulty of these activities, the need for exercise and stage fright have nothing to do with introversion. This is quiet and loud people alike.
This is only an example. As mentioned above, it is true for many (or all?) Areas that as a quiet person you can achieve the same goals, but only with your own resources.
When are you actually introverted?
My wish and my dream, which are behind the book: That gentle people are at peace with themselves and in this way for themselves a small quiet revolution can effect.
A question I am often asked: "How do you know if you are introverted? And can you do something about it? "The simple answer: Let's have a look. Of course, the topic is more complex.
Way with the labels
I believe that it is practical to understand introversion in everyday life not as a stone-carved personality feature. It is not helpful if a person receives such a label or misses himself. Instead, you can find out if you have a taste for intro or extraversion.
There are a few helpful tests, eg online on the page of Sylvia Löhken. Or you read that Book by Frau Löhken or my book. Only if you find this view interesting, then it is helpful or useful, you do not have to deal with the topic!
Intro, Extra, or Ambitious?
If you believe that you are not particularly introverted or extraverted, you are in good company. Presumably, most people are mixed types who like and show both intro and extraverted behaviors.
A special group are the so-called Ambivertierten, which are humans who metaphorically lie exactly in the middle of the dimension. They are "both," and they often have an attractive effect on other people, especially those who are more pronounced loud or quiet.
