What three types of authority are there?


  1. Authority by office - that is the authority of a superior

    It depends in my opinion on what authority is meant. Natural authority works on its own and is respected by the environment, based on trust. Persons with a natural authority are emotionally stable. An authority without this personal stability works with pressure - this only happens when skills are lacking. These people are "nice" as long as it serves their own benefit. Such "leadership principles" that work with pressure are "worn out" and not sustainable in a modern agile business world that demands and encourages participation and self-determination.
